GETTING into the housing market is tough for millions of Americans, with rising house prices and tough cost of living pressures.
But Amazon might be making home ownership easier for some people, selling a modern tiny home for under $19,000.
The pre-fab home is insulated and easy to install, and may be perfect for those looking to enjoy a minimalist lifestyle.
Tiny homes typically range from 100 to 400 square feet making them perfect for homeowners seeking to downsize, add extra space, or create a cozy vacation retreat.
Purchasing your next tiny home can be minimal effort thanks to e-commerce giant Amazon, which sells a variety of tiny homes to accommodate every homeowner’s needs.
One great option is the Prefab Tiny Portable Home sold by CPD35.
The seller describes the house as a expandable plastic house designed for hotel, office, guard house or villa use.
The house offers an impressive 20 foot by 20 foot area, with a versatile layout.
It is thoughtfully designed, with two bedrooms, a bathroom and an equipped kitchen for comfortable living.
The house is also durable, according to the sellers, made with metal aluminum and container steel.
It weighs about 5200 pounds and is gray and white.
One of the most enviable features, is that the house comes on wheels making it ultra-portable.
Plus, the house can be delivered within weeks and there is no assembly required.
SIMPLE LUXURY
The retail giant is selling another luxury tiny home for $29,999.
The space comes with everything a homeowner could need, including a “luxury bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.”
The U.S. Sun has previously reported on all things tiny homes.
The U.S. Sun recently spoke exclusively to the founder of the tiny home movement who lives in a house he built for himself for just $5,000 and it weighs under 2,000 points.
Known as the founder of the movement, Jay Shafter first came up with the idea when he was homeless in 1999.
Shafer said the movement was “created in direct response to what had become and remains, extensive unlawful enforcement of the IRC guidelines as law.”
TOP TIPS FOR TINY HOME BUYERS
The U.S. Sun also recently reported on advice from a tiny home real estate agent, who said there were a number of things to think about before committing to the major purchase.
Tiny home enthusiast Erin Hybart has shared her top tips for consumers to consider before buying a tiny home.
- Check regulations to see whether you need a permit as this varies from state to state
- Think carefully about how much storage you need
- Plan ahead and get organized by talking to other tiny home owners
- Be careful of scams by researching the builder to make sure they are reputable
According to Hybart, who is a realtor in Louisiana and has sold smaller homes less than 600 feet squared, rules and regulations for tiny homes vary between each state so shoppers should do their research before buying one.
What is a tiny home?
Technically, a tiny home is any house measuring under 400 square feet.
Many tiny homes are built on trailers so they can be towed anywhere, and some are converted from old school buses or vans.
Each state has its own rules about tiny homes, but, generally, they are not subject to the same taxes as regular homes.
However, Alaska, Iowa, Louisiana, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Wisconsin, and West Virginia have made tiny homes illegal as permanent dwellings.
