This story is part of 9to5Mac’s series celebrating Apple’s 50th anniversary.

Apple often likes to say that it isn’t a nostalgic company, but they’ve gone all out to celebrate their 50th birthday. The company recently opened an exhibition on campus displaying some of their most iconic products from over the years alongside photographs of memorable moments. There’s even a large screen that plays iconic ads and keynote moments like the 1984 commercial and the opening of the Steve Jobs theater. Thanks to Meriam Al Sultan on X, we all can get a look at the exhibit.

Some of the products on display include the iMac G3, the 128k Macintosh, as well as a variety of landmark models of iPhones, iPods, iPads, and Apple Watches. The iPod case in particular displays the original iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod shuffle, and iPod touch. All of which are products that marked turning points for the category. The iPhone case even appears to include each major display size showing how it got bigger over the years.

Looking closely at some of the art displayed on the walls you can spot some real gems. There’s the iconic pirate flag, a shot of the Macintosh team, stills from the 1984 ad, Steve’s intersection of technology and liberal arts slide, an iPod silhouette, among many others. I think my favorite parts of the exhibit are the prints of students using Apple products, reminding everyone why this all matters in the first place. In one of the photos you can also see a still from Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime show performance and what looks like a recent awards show likely celebrating one of Apple TV’s wins.

In addition to the core exhibit, Apple also displayed various generations of iPhone and iMac in the hallways of Apple Park. There are sculptures of the illustrated 50th anniversary logo sprinkled around campus as well. This larger exhibition is located in section 2 of the main Apple Park building. While it’s closed off to the public, if you’re visiting an employee or are an employee yourself, you should absolutely check it out while it’s there.
