Apple has overcome a really impressive milestone: since it launched the first iPhone in 2007, the company has already sold More than 3,000 million units worldwide. The data was confirmed by Tim Cook during the Results Conference of the Third Fiscal Quarter of 2025, obviously happy for the magnitude of the success of its star product.
To put the figure in perspective: Apple took nine years to sell the first 1,000 million iPhone, marks that the apple signature achieved in 2016. Thus, during the next period, also nine years, has managed to double the sales of the device to 2,000 million. An extraordinary trajectory, given that it is not precisely a cheap product.
In fact, the results of the last quarter exceeded expectations, largely thanks to the iPhone itself, since the sales of the terminal grew 13% year -on -year, generating 44.6 billion dollars. Or what is the same, iPhone sales have almost meant half of Apple’s total incomewhich amounted to 94,000 million, in this period.
It is not surprising, therefore, that Cook itself has described the level of sales of the iPhone as “reason for celebration”, especially in a year marked by the stock market challenges for those of Cupertino, which has lost its position as the most valuable company in the world against Nvidia and Microsoft.

Apple should be very pleased with the folks who spread the lies that the iPhone will cost $3000 or $25,000 if made in the U.S. Clearly that helped a ton for the June quarter.

Now, this rebound may not be quite sustainable. This is suggested by Mark Gurman, Bloomberg analyst and a habitual reference in information about Apple. It points to that part of the growth could be explained by the fear of consumers to a possible Price increase in the US, derived from the tariff plans driven by Donald Trump. That is, given uncertainty, many users would have chosen to advance the renewal of their devices.
Be that as it may, the 3,000 million iPhones sold are not removed by anyone AA Apple. Another thing yes: fines for violating laws and leaks of talent in the field of AI – of which they are not left over – do not lack those of the apple.
