Apple TV has a deep bench of acclaimed sci-fi series, and two of its best are coming back soon: the Godzilla-starring Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and space race drama For All Mankind.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters returns February 27

Apple TV series are typically entirely original or adapted from novels. Very few are based on already-popular IP. But Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is a big exception.
Monarch is set in the Legendary ‘Monsterverse’ and features Godzilla, Kong, and more. The first season was praised by critics, however, for not just being a cheap IP play.
The sci-fi epic packs a compelling, human-centered story involving lead actors Kurt Russell and son Wyatt Russell. Monarch’s first season scored a strong 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Apple has already even greenlit a spinoff series starring Wyatt Russell.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters returns for season 2 on Friday, February 27.
The trailer revealed that a new ‘Titan X’ monster is coming, upping the stakes for the new season.
You can watch season 1 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ here on Apple TV.
For All Mankind is back March 27

Apple’s longest running sci-fi series is For All Mankind, the alternate history space-race drama from creator Ronald D. Moore.
Time marches on in For All Mankind, as what used to be a period show has now progressed into the not-too-distant past of the 2010s.
Over the course of four seasons, the series has a strong 92% Rotten Tomatoes score. The first season is commonly seen as the weakest, plagued by slow pacing but still showing potential and hitting its stride in subsequent years.
For All Mankind season 5 debuts on Friday, March 27.
The returning ensemble cast includes Joel Kinnaman, Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña and Wrenn Schmidt. But there are a lot of new series regulars coming too, including Mireille Enos, Costa Ronin, Sean Kaufman, Ruby Cruz, and Ines Asserson.
You can watch seasons 1-4 of For All Mankind here on Apple TV.
