Apple may be soon planning to bring some of the best and meaningful changes to its upcoming iPad Pro. The tech giant is soon to unveil its iPhone 17 lineup including iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Po, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. If recent reports are to be believed, then Apple is soon planning to bring its upcoming iPad Pro with the new M5 chipset. The said iPad Pro could feature two front facing cameras in both portrait and landscape orientations.

Apple iPad Pro:

To recall, Apple launched its iPad Pro 2024 model with landscape orientation camera that was strategically a big shift from the previous portrait placement. This move from Apple might have improved the video calling experience but the experience of using it in portrait mode led to the uncomfortable experience, especially when unlocking the iPad or taking selfies.

Now, it seems Apple seems to be solving the issue by reversing the placements in its upcoming iPad Pro. Instead of choosing one placement over the other, the tech giant is reportedly planning to include a second front camera which will be this time positioned for portrait use.

Addition of second front facing camera might not be the groundbreaking feature, however, it is a thoughtful tweak that could significantly improve the daily life usage of the iPad Pro. The rumored portrait-facing camera in the upcoming iPad Pro might make the video call experience more comfortable as users will be able to unlock their iPads or make video calls even if they are holding the device upright or sideways.

Apple iPad Pro Launch Timeline

If Apple sticks to its traditional schedule, the M5 iPad Pro could enter production in the second half of 2025 and possibly launch later that year. It’s also likely that new iPad Air and entry-level iPad models will follow shortly after, continuing Apple’s yearly refresh cycle.

In essence, the next iPad Pro might not look drastically different, but Apple is clearly refining the user experience one small step at a time.
