Apple’s March Launch May Be Different, Rumor Says 5 Products Over 3 Days

Apple may be doing things differently next week. We’re used to Apple events filled with announcements of multiple products, but Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports Apple may change things up for this year’s March reveal.

Apple invited press and analysts to an “experience” on Wednesday, March 5. Apple typically refers to its launches as events if they’re announcements, and it normally hosts its reveals on Tuesdays. Gurman says he has heard that this will instead be an event for the press to try products announced over the preceding days.

He says sources claim at least five products will be announced throughout the week, starting March 2, likely on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. If true, it may mean we see a flurry of announcements spread over three days rather than all coming at once.

Previous rumors suggest we are set to see an iPhone 7e, new iPad models, and the long-rumored low-cost MacBook. That MacBook is reportedly set to feature a 12-inch display and an Apple A-series processor, which is typically used in iPhones and iPads.

Other rumors suggest we may also see new MacBook Pro models with an M5 Pro and an M5 Max powering each.

Those three categories may be spread over a day each. Although the sources haven’t yet hinted at a schedule of announcements or whether they’ll be grouped by product type. Apple has yet to announce a livestream for its March 5 event, further suggesting it won’t be a traditional launch. The brand is hosting its experiences in London, New York, and Shanghai.

The last Apple product launch came with little fanfare, introducing the AirTag 2 in a January press release alongside a new Apple Watch band design to celebrate Black History Month.
