ASTRO Bot is one of the most successful games of 2024, as millions picked up the game following spectacular reviews.
Not only is the PlayStation exclusive one of the highest-rated games of the year, but it earned more love from fans when its free DLC was announced.
The free DLC gave players 10 more bots to collect, including ones based on characters from Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, and Helldivers 2.
Players can collect these bots in the new speedrun levels, where players have to beat five new levels in record time in order to rescue them.
Before the latest free speedrun DLC for Astro Bot was announced, people noticed mentions of these games in the credits, even though the bots weren’t available yet.
This meant that fans knew that more bot cameos were coming, though they didn’t know when or how they would arrive.
Now people have noticed even more games pop up in the credits, pointing to more DLC in the future.
Whether this will be free or not, we don’t know yet, but it is likely that bots from a few new different games will be appearing in the future.
There are mentions of Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil, Assassin’s Creed, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, and Tomba now seen in the credits.
Characters from these games currently don’t appear in Astro Bot, but the credits suggest that they will be available in the future.
The first three games mentioned are all published by Ubisoft, so it would make sense that they would all appear at the same time once a deal is struck.
Croc is also making a comeback with a remaster releasing shortly, so it would make sense to see this character return.
Legend of the Bottos
We love that Astro Bot is not only one of the best releases of the year, but it’s showing its longevity with the free DLC.
While the speedrun stages are short and sweet, they have a lot of replayability thanks to how difficult they are.
New bots are always welcome as we love seeing and saving characters from our favourite PlayStation games.
