From June 21st to 23rd, Ulike held a public-facing activation in Santa Monica, welcoming guests to explore its latest line of beauty-tech devices.

The event, titled Endless Summer, took over Santa Monica’s Ocean Front Walk to spotlight Ulike’s latest hair removal and skincare tools. The activation comes as interest in at-home beauty devices continues to rise. Interest in home-use beauty tools appears to be rising sharply. A recent report from The Business Research Company forecasts a 27% compound annual growth rate in the sector through 2032.

The focus wasn’t on spectacle. Instead, visitors were invited to move through interactive stations, try out the products, and hear directly from medical professionals and product developers.

Air 10 Puts Practical Hair Removal in Users’ Hands

The Air 10 led the showcase. It’s Ulike’s latest IPL (intense pulsed light) device, designed to complete a full-body session in around ten minutes.

The Air 10 features a dual-lamp IPL system capable of delivering a 26-joule, 4-pulse burst in SHR mode. According to the company, this design increases treatment area by 18 percent and flash speed by 280 percent compared to earlier models. It also features a skin tone sensor that automatically adjusts intensity, along with a cooling system that maintains the contact point at 65 degrees Fahrenheit to minimize surface irritation during prolonged use.

Staff members and dermatology advisors were on-site to offer guidance and answer questions related to skin tone compatibility, treatment cycles, and use frequency.

Supporting Confidence Through Consistency

Gen Z and millennial consumers now spend more on wellness products and services than older generations, with skin and haircare categories powering much of that growth, according to McKinsey.

This data suggests more than a passing trend. Younger consumers are actively seeking flexible solutions that align with their often busy and irregular schedules. At-home tools offer the convenience of managing personal care without appointments or travel, which matters to many users.

When people have the option to handle these routines on their own, at their pace, it removes a layer of friction. It’s not just about results. It’s about creating space to feel comfortable in your skin on your terms.

Exploring the Full Lineup

Guests also had the opportunity to use Ulike’s Air 3 model, another of Ulike’s models with a smaller build and a simple layout that some users prefer. It doesn’t include every feature found in the Air 10, but it covers the basics and remains a steady option for those who want something direct and easy to handle.

Also featured was the ReGlow LED mask, built to support clearer, more balanced skin by targeting blemishes, oil buildup, and uneven tone. This mask operates on four light modes and features 272 LEDs, offering short sessions that are easy to stick to at home.

Both products reflect how Ulike’s lineup is evolving — moving beyond hair removal into more comprehensive, everyday skincare.

Shifting Preferences in Beauty Tech

The Santa Monica event reflected a trend already noted across the industry. Interest in at-home beauty tech is growing, not just because it’s convenient, but because it gives people more control over their routines.

Tools that once felt clinical or difficult to access are becoming part of everyday routines. As technology becomes more user-friendly, people are more likely to take charge of their grooming without perceiving it as a burden or chore.

The devices on display by Ulike reflected a growing interest in flexible, at-home care. The focus was more on how their products can be used regularly in routine rather than just focusing on massive transformations to shock visitors.

Final Thoughts

Ulike’s Santa Monica pop-up kept things simple. The brand created a space for people to try the devices, ask their questions, and see how the tools actually worked.

What stood out wasn’t just the format. It was how approachable the technology felt. Devices like the Air 10 reflect a shift happening across personal care, where treatments that once required appointments are now becoming part of people’s regular routines. As tools like these become easier to access and use, they may help shape a more self-directed approach to skincare, one defined less by industry standards and more by personal rhythm.
