AWOL Vision is debuting a triple-laser projector series engineered for sharper 4K output and faster gaming performance than current UST models.

AWOL Vision is introducing a new flagship ultra short throw projector series that claims to push 4K clarity further than any UST system to date, with the Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro built to deliver sharper large-screen images and faster gaming performance than previous models.

The company says Aetherion is its most advanced platform yet, built around a redesigned optical engine and a proprietary PixelLock system engineered to maintain full 4K detail at screen sizes up to 200-inches which is something most UST projectors struggle to preserve due to their extreme projection angles.

PixelLock handles pixel alignment across optical, mechanical and digital layers, aiming to eliminate color fringing, softness and drift even as environmental conditions change.

The Aetherion Max outputs 3,300 ISO lumens, while the Aetherion Pro delivers 2,600 ISO lumens, backed by a Diamond-Like Carbon–coated lens system designed to improve light transmission and reduce reflections.

Both models support Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10+ and Filmmaker Mode, with a 6,000:1 native contrast ratio and AWOL’s EBL Shadow Refinement tools for shaping brightness and shadow detail on a scene-by-scene basis.

AWOL Vision says the result is the sharpest 4K UST picture it has produced, with an emphasis on edge-to-edge precision and long-term stability. Anti-RBE processing aims to suppress rainbow artefacts almost entirely, making the system more suitable for sensitive viewers.

The projector can also operate as a centre-channel speaker when paired with AWOL’s ThunderBeat sound system.

Built for next-gen gaming

Aetherion also targets gamers, with 1ms-class input latency at 240Hz, VRR support and Auto Low Latency Mode to minimise lag during fast-paced play. It’s the first projector to support Dolby Vision Gaming, and includes Wi-Fi 7, Gigabit Ethernet and the MT9655 chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage running Android TV 14.

The Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro will launch commercially in March 2026, priced at $4,999 and $3,499respectively, with early-bird discounts and Kickstarter bundles planned for late January. Both models will also be showcased at CES 2026 at AWOL Vision’s Central Hall booth.
