There are TV deals flying all over the place as part of Amazon’s Prime Day deals event, but if you’re a little lost as to which models to focus on, here’s a great deal on a Samsung QLED TV.

The 50-inch Samsung Q60D is a model from 2024, and first went on sale at about £859. It’s been steadily dropping in price over the past year, falling to less than £500. Prime Day 2025 has seen it drop down to £415.

We’ll be honest with you, this isn’t the lowest price the Samsung Q60D has been this year as price trackers show that it was at £399 not too long ago, but this is the next best price we’ve seen; and it’s a lot less expensive than buying direct from Samsung.

The Q60D is among Samsung’s less expensive TVs but is still a feature-packed effort. The Tizen interface offers plenty of entertainment options whether it’s streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+, the UK catch-up apps), gaming (Xbox, Boosteroid cloud services) and TV (Samsung TV Plus). There’s a huge amount of entertainment options to enjoy.

From a gaming perspective the Q60D doesn’t have the advanced features of the higher-specc’d models but that makes this a TV more ideal to casual users (such as anyone with a Nintendo Switch). There’s ALLM that offers the fastest performance with games, as well as the Super Ultra Wide Game View feature for those who play PC games.

There’s smarts too with Samsung’s SmartThings making it easier to connect other smart devices in the home to the TV, the Samsung’s Daily+ offering video chat apps and workout routines to keep you occupied at home.

With a screen that aims to provide strong contrast and a colourful image, there’s also HDR10+ support that adds to the colour performance, and is now supported by streaming services such as Netflix.

That’s alot of features for an almost £400 price. We’ve not reviewed the Q60D but past experience with Samsung’s less expensive TVs suggests they offer plenty of value; and at this reduced price, it’s an even more attractive TV.
