Baidu said it will launch its Xiaodu AI Glasses at the Baidu World 2025 conference in November, with sales scheduled to begin later this year. The device is billed as the company’s first AI glasses powered by a Chinese large language model, offering first-person video capture, real-time question answering, calorie and object recognition, encyclopedic information lookup, audiovisual translation, and smart reminders. The move comes as Chinese tech giants including Alibaba and ByteDance step up investments in AI wearables, intensifying competition in the emerging smart glasses market.
