A BELOVED Japanese store is landing in one state for the first time — with two grand openings set for this week.
Shoppers are buzzing after Daiso announced it will finally launch two new stores in the U.S.

Two new stores will open in Utah to mark the brand’s 200th grand opening.
The first location will open at The Shops at Fort Union in Midvale on May 17, running from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. the following day.
The first 200 customers to spend $20 will bag a free tote on the 17 May, and shoppers on the 18 May who spend over $20 will also receive a special gift.
According to Daiso’s website, two more U.S. stores are set to open later this year.
Shoppers can expect one in Park Plaza in Clinton and one in Provo’s Riverside Plaza, with both stores opening later this summer.
In a recent Facebook post, Daiso explained itself as a , “Japanese value store with unique, affordable products, from household goods to stationery, beauty, snacks, and more”.
The popular store is family-owned with more than a whopping 6,000 stores across the world, according to their website.
Daiso also revealed that it has over 100,000 products for customers to choose from with, “quality merchandise at affordable prices”.
The Japanese brand has become popular among shippers for its low prices and good quality.
It comes after a popular warehouse store chain is opening three more locations.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some ones you can use:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
- Honey is a price comparison tool that lets you compare prices through your browser. It can also find coupons and codes for saving money on items you’re looking at.
Two of the new retail stores will be located overseas.
Costco is continuing its global expansion with plans to open at least three new warehouse locations by July 2025.
The Washington-based wholesaler, known for its bulk deals and devoted membership base, currently operates 905 warehouses worldwide.
These include 624 stores across the United States and Puerto Rico.
Costco revealed that the new stores will be located in Pyeongtaek, South Korea (June 2025), Malmö, Sweden (July 2025), and Midland, Texas (July 2025), according to its “Coming Soon” page.
These openings are part of Costco’s growth strategy, which aims to launch 25 to 30 new locations annually.
NEW STORE TEASED
Just days ago, a new Primark store was seemingly teased on social media, which sent shoppers into a frenzy.
The post was uploaded to the Facebook group Let’s Talk Augusta, announcing a new spot was coming to the Augusta Mall in Georgia.
While a date was not specified, consumers have already shown their excitement.
One person commented on the post: “Exciting! I love Primark.”
A second shopper exclaimed: “Can’t wait !!! ..When?”
And a third shopper replied to someone who hadn’t heard of Primark yet: “Think old navy but with better prices.”
