HP has refreshed its flagship Omen 16 laptop with updated AMD, Intel, and Nvidia components, similar to its recent update to the Area 51 line. While the flashy, often unusual Alienware design won’t be for everyone, the HP Omen Max’s more low-key appearance may tickle your fancy. This cutting-edge configuration has been available to buy since March, and we weren’t expecting to see a price drop so soon.
While you could wait for a bigger discount later in the year, there’s no guarantee that will happen. And sometimes an upgrade or replacement can’t wait. This is the best price we’ve seen for the HP Omen Max thus far at $350 off. You can also take advantage of the coupon code PC10DEAL to secure an additional 10% in savings for a total of $565.

Meet the new Omen 16 Max, which was announced at CES 2025 earlier this year. When our experts at the trade show got a first look, they discovered that the Max’s processors run up to AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 or the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, and GPU options consist entirely of Nvidia’s next-generation chips. The displays have also seen a boost, ranging from a 165Hz 2K panel to a premium 240Hz QHD+ OLED panel.

It comes in either black or white and bears subtle accents on the top side, as well as a keyboard with four-zone RGB lighting. It’s a clean look that still draws the eye to your impressive gaming rig. Impressive is just how we would describe the 1440p performance of the RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. Our experts tested the Asus Prime iteration and gave it an “Excellent” rating. It will run gameplay from AAA titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds at their highest settings without missing a beat and without screen tear thanks to the rapid 165 Hz refresh rate.
Be the first in your gaming group to get your hands on this potent gaming laptop, thanks to the $565 price cut, and secure your ability to play the latest and greatest releases even as they become more graphically demanding.
