Days before Beyonce was due to perform four nights in the city, she was been forced to call the cops after hard drives with top secret information on them were taken.
Taking place on July 8, the theft saw hard drives containing unreleased songs, show plans, and past and future set lists for her tour stolen from acar.
The physical drives were stolen from a rental car used by the singer’s choreographer and one of her dancers, according to a police report.
Atlanta police say an arrest warrant has been issued, but the suspect‘s name has not been made public.
Christoper Grant, one of the singer’s choreographers and Diandre Blue, a dancer, told cops they had parked the car before heading inside a food hall.
The Black Jeep Wagoneer, which was rented, was parked up as the pair went inside the nearby food hall.
As per a police incident report, when they returned, the vehicle’s rear window had been smashed and two suitcases were missing.
They told police they were “carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé”.
The stolen items included “five jump drives containing watermarked music, unreleased music, footage plans for shows past and future, and set list”, the report states.
Not only were the hard drives missing, but other items too.
Some of the other items reported stolen included a laptop, some designer clothes, and some Apple AirPods.
Authorities used tracking information on the laptop and headphones to track where the items may have gone, it has been reported.
With the vehicle dusted for fingerprints, “two very light prints” were discovered.
The BBC states that it is currently unclear as to whether any of the stolen items have been recovered.
The hitmaker is currently on tour in Atlanta, with her first performance in the city taking place just two days after the reported theft.
Beyonce took to the stage on July 10, with her last show in the city taking place earlier this week.
During the third night’s show, Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z made an appearance
The rapper walked out on stage in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for a performance of their hit Crazy in Love.
Beyonce swooned: “Give it up for my man, Jay-Z,” as he walked out to the hundreds of cheering fans.
The pair then shared a kiss on stage before he departed.
“Please give it up for my favorite human in the world, my husband,” she swooned as he walked away.
