The Chinese version of hit Japanese game Uma Musume: Pretty Derby was launched by major video platform Bilibili on Wednesday, rising to the top of the free-to-download games in China’s iOS AppStore immediately. Pre-registered domestic players exceeded one million even before the official launch, claimed the company. Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, developed by Japanese developer Cygames, is a simulation role-playing game that features anime girls competing with each other in a horse-racing tournament. Launched in Japan in 2021, the game earned approximately $1 billion that year.
