DESPITE labeling the 24/7 online footage as Big Brother’s ‘live feeds,’ producers are allegedly able to ‘edit’ and ‘delay’ as they see fit to have more control of the show, The U.S. Sun can reveal.
This comes as fans have accused producers of “cutting” certain scenes that depict controversial contestant Rylie Jeffries’ “scary” behavior with love interest Katherine Woodman.

For season 27 of Big Brother, fans have been complaining that, more so than ever in years past, production has stepped in to alter the 24/7 live feeds in some capacity.
This can include the feed abruptly changing to a new camera angle or just being cut altogether.
It comes as an annoyance to many, as most viewers assumed that the live feeds are “unfiltered 24/7” and CBS does not touch them.
However, this is not the case, as an insider revealed to The U.S. Sun that the show does step in when legally necessary – or even just to help the flow of the storyline.
“Producers have the ability and right to edit, cut, or delay the live feeds at their discretion.
“There are no rules, per se, that prevents them from doing so. They attempt to make things as streamlined, live, and unedited as possible.
“But, for a multitude of reasons, they do have to step in at times.”
When explaining what reasons may lead to the livestreams being cut, the source explained: “It can include the producers wanting to save something for the CBS episodes, the contestants name dropping an ex or someone who might not have signed a TV release.
“Production wanting to control the narrative more can be a big reason, staffing issues, or even things as little as a contestant singing along to a song that’s most likely a copyright issue.
“These are all factors. It could also be the topic of conversation for the contestants. Also, technical difficulties can sometimes play a role in a delay or a sudden cut. There is no one reason, it often just depends.
“The live feeds are also slightly delayed to give producers a chance to control the narrative more if need be. The delay is typically around 5 minutes or so. Sometimes it might be cut closer.
“So they are not actually live-live. However, the evictions are more accurately live, although there is a slight delay to that too as its network television.”
The U.S. Sun has reached out to CBS for comment.
Fans have been complaining about the amount of “cuts” in this season’s live feeds – which they claim is higher this year than ever before.
“All these feeds cuts too the point where im lowkey losing interest of watching the live feeds,” one person complained.
“As someone new to watching the #bigbrother live feeds I didn’t realize how often they cut to this screen. Annoying,” another fired off.
Additionally, fans have been vocal about feeling “uncomfortable” with the way Rylie has been talking to his girlfriend in the house, Katherine, since their showmance began to heat up last month.

In an “intense” clip from a recent livestream, Rylie and Katherine were seen discussing their relationship.
They spoke about how things would progress on the outside, with Rylie even vowing that he wanted to marry Katherine.
In the video, which has already made the rounds on social media, Rylie said to Katherine, “I’m being with you outside of this, whether you like it or not.”
Katherine then brought up the fact that they could break up, to which Rylie said that’s not an option and the two will be “married.”
His persistence results in an uncomfortable facial expression from Katherine.
“Rylie is a a**hole and I’m tired. Katherine doesn’t owe him s**t. Production please do something,” one person begged.
Another said: “Rylie is a controlling person and gets upset at the sight of kat talking game with anyone but him. He gaslights her and treats her like s**t whenever he’s in a bad mood. I need him gone.”
Big Brother airs on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8pm EST on CBS – with 24/7 livefeeds airing on PlutoTV and Paramount+.
