Biotech firm Relation is doubling its London footprint with a major expansion to its facilities in Regent’s Place.
The company, a self-described “end-to-end” biotech that uses genomics and machine learning to develop medicines, is taking and additional 7,000 sq ft. of lab space at the Euston Road site, bringing its total to 13,000 sq ft.
Relation first moved into Regent’s Place in 2022, two years after it was founded. Since its launch the company has expanded rapidly, having raised over $106m (£78m) across multiple rounds of funding.
“Our place strategy is central to realising Relation’s vision, we believe that where and how we work profoundly shapes what we can achieve. Regent’s Place has not only been our headquarters since 2022, but it continues to be the nucleus of our growth and innovation,” said Rosie Rodriguez, SVP of growth at Relation.
“It’s here that we’re bringing together the best interdisciplinary talent in biology, machine learning, engineering, computational biology and drug discovery. As we double our footprint, we’re not just scaling space, we’re scaling ambition.”
The Regent’s Place campus is owned by British Land, a commercial property firm that owns or manages a portfolio worth £14.6bn.
“At our Regent’s Place campus, we’ve created a unique ecosystem for London where science and technology businesses can grow, providing space for businesses at every stage of their journey,” said Michael Wiseman, head of campuses at British Land.
“Whether it’s early-stage innovators or established leaders, our vibrant hub — with flexible lab-office space, proximity to world-class institutions, and a culture of collaboration — helps businesses become operational quickly, optimising their science and scaling from here.”
