BJ’S Wholesale has been forced to issue an apology after a cold customer revealed that they have to brave freezing temperatures for a cart.
The shivering shopper expressed his anger at BJ’s for their lack of carts available at a certain store in the US, along with a general low item stock.

The X user chattered in a social media post: “@BJsWholesale could you guys please fix carts availability issue at Kearny, NJ location this has been going on for a while I shouldn’t have to walk around the parking lot to find one cart in freezing temperature.
“Also the inventory is always low/out of stock for items I want.”
This customer is complaining that the carts are never nearby when he needs one, forcing them to hunt for one in cold conditions.
The post locates the problem to a store in Kearny, New Jersey, but it is not known if this is a wider issue at BJ’s stores.
The chain did respond to the post, saying: “Hi. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
“And, we will reach out to the leadership team at our club in Kearny, NJ so that we can have this issue addressed.”
It is rare for a store to reach out to local branches when responding to these complaints.
Most major retailers direct the customer to a feedback form, but in this instance BJ’s seemingly takes stronger action to address the complaint.
It is not know what came of the interaction, or if the cart problem was fixed.
The post was created on Tuesday.
BJ’S BOTHER
The US Sun recently reported on a customer demanding a policy change at BJ’s, after they called for more flexibility with a certain app feature.
The post from Heidi said: “@BJsWholesale Love curbside, but the App update won’t allow input at pickup unless the member’s device is present at a club.
“Can you bring back the option that allowed remote check-in so someone else could grab the order when we can not? Thanks.”
Curbside is a feature used by BJ”s that lets your shopping be delivered to your car, without ever having to go into the store.

The app currently still requires you to be in the parking lot.
This customer suggests allowing someone else to grab the shopping for them if remote check-in is used.
This post suggests that Curbside isn’t as flexible as it could be.
BJ’s responded to the post, saying: “Hi Heidi! Thank you for your suggestion, please DM or email us at [email protected], and we will have this addressed to implement developments and further assist you!.”
It is not clear if Heidi ever got in touch, or if the inquiry went any further.
