This is not the barbecue scene in the series She-Hulk which would inevitably reassure them. No, fans of the Netflix series needed much more Daredevil (first season broadcast in… 2015), which was talked about as much for its quality of writing, as its violence, its darkness and the remarkable interpretation of its casting, with Vincent Donofrio and Charlie Cox at the top of the list, to convince them of the project carried out by Daredevil Born Againwho will disembark on March 4 on Disney+.
If the famous project has experienced quite a few twists and turns and has even been rethought and recast, this has always been with the aim of bringing it as close as possible to the tone and atmosphere discovered in the series of the time, then carried by the Netflix platform before the post-Covid repatriation of the Defenders — Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage et Daredevil therefore — and the Punisher in the fold of Disney. But there was an artistic vagueness around the very nature of this new series: soft reboot? Following ? New original story? Adaptation of the comic book of the same name by Frank Miller?
Several years after season 3 of Daredevil
This time, Charlie Cox has decided. In the last issue of Empire, the actor playing the role of Matt Murdock, who himself had maintained the vagueness on Born Again (“it will be a whole new thing”, he said at the time of the announcement), spoke about the upcoming series. “There was talk from the beginning of reinventing the whole thing, to see if Matt was a slightly different person. But it ultimately turned out to be more of a continuation. Much of the story continues. The relationships and dynamics established in previous seasons still exist” So it will be a sequel. And direct to the events of season 3 of Daredevil.

And the photo accompanying the article speaks for itself: we see Matt Murdock, his best friend and business partner Foggy Nelson as well as their friend and now business partner Karen Paige smiling in the streets of Hell’s Kitchen. As one might assume and as Cox himself confirms “a few years have passed.” The trio found “a pretty good rhythm together. Matt has made peace with his role as a lawyer and vigilante, but when Wilson Fisk/Kingpin returns to campaign for mayor of New York, then trouble resurfaces…“. We can’t wait to find out more. Daredevil Born Againwhich will also mark the return of Jon Bernthal in the role of the Punisher, will be broadcast on March 4 on Disney +, and will consist of nine episodes.
