Jason Riggs has spent his career where technology and human insight collide. A former GoPro and Qualcomm executive who later served as SVP at PAR Technology, he’s now leading commercial and product strategy at an AI-driven startup while celebrating the launch of his new book, The MACH-10 PM: AI-Powered Product Management at Hypersonic Speed. The title has already reached #1 New Release in Product Management and Business Technology Innovation on Amazon, introducing readers to his concept of “Speed with Soul.”

Q: What sparked The MACH-10 PM?

I wanted to capture what it actually feels like to lead at today’s velocity. Over the years I watched talented product managers drown in dashboards and process but lose connection to purpose. When AI arrived, I saw a huge opportunity and a huge risk. It could either make us faster or make us hollow. The MACH-10 PM was my way of writing a new playbook—one built for AI acceleration but grounded in humanity.

Q: The phrase “Speed with Soul” is central to your brand. What does it mean in practice?

It’s about balancing precision and purpose. MACH-10 refers to hypersonic speed—7,600 miles per hour—but speed alone isn’t progress. “Speed with Soul” means moving fast while staying anchored to empathy, clarity, and vision. The best product leaders operate like pilots: they know when to push the throttle and when to pull up. They understand that human insight, not automation, determines direction.

Q: How is AI transforming the product management discipline?

AI is changing everything. The best PMs will use it to expand their reach, not replace their thinking. Machines can summarize research, cluster user data, even prototype copy or features, but the final call still requires judgment. The danger is letting AI create distance between you and the customer. The opportunity is using it to get closer than ever. The future PM won’t be defined by process charts but by how fluently they can integrate human and machine intelligence.

Q: Your background spans consumer tech, enterprise systems, and now AI platforms. How did that range shape your philosophy?

Each phase taught a different kind of speed. Consumer tech taught me emotional velocity—how community and story can move faster than product roadmaps. Enterprise work showed me structural velocity—the systems that let innovation scale. And AI has introduced interpretive velocity—the ability to sense and adapt in real time. The MACH-10 PM framework came from combining those lessons into something any leader can use, whether they’re running a startup or a global product line.

Q: What did you discover about leadership while writing the book?

That people are desperate for clarity. I expected to write a technical guide, but early readers said it gave them language for problems they couldn’t quite name. The deeper theme is that leadership in the AI era is psychological as much as tactical. It’s about staying human when the tools make you feel mechanical. Once you understand that, AI stops being a threat and becomes a force multiplier.

Q: You use the phrase “Out-leverage, not out-work.” How does that idea apply to today’s teams?

It means stop equating effort with impact. Hustle culture is obsolete. The new edge is asymmetric leverage—knowing how to multiply results through focus, delegation, and intelligent use of AI. Every PM I know is overloaded with meetings and noise. The discipline now is deciding what not to do. AI can clear the clutter, but only if you first define what matters most. The goal is to recover time for real thinking again.

Q: What’s next for the MACH-10 brand?

The book was just ignition. We’re expanding into a practical ecosystem—toolkits, workshops, and an ongoing newsletter that helps teams operationalize the frameworks. My mission is to make “Speed with Soul” a standard for how modern product leaders operate. I’m less interested in promoting a book than in building a community of PMs who want to lead with both intelligence and integrity. If that happens, MACH-10 becomes more than a title—it becomes a movement.

Q: Where can readers find The MACH-10 PM?

The book is available now on Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and hardcover. You can also explore additional resources, downloads, and the MACH-10 newsletter at mach10pm.com. My hope is that every reader walks away realizing speed doesn’t have to strip away meaning. When you combine acceleration with intention, that’s where real innovation lives.
