THE Cleveland Browns have been forced into signing a new quarterback after injury nightmares.
Cleveland has a four-way battle for the starting quarterback role vacated by the injured Deshaun Watson.

But they’ve been hit by injuries in the quarterback room during training camp.
And the team has acted by signing Tyler Huntley, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Huntley, 27, has played 27 career games so far.
He was with the Baltimore Ravens from 2020 to 2023 as Lamar Jackson’s backup.
And the quarterback played five times for the Miami Dolphins in 2024.
His signing will bring depth to the quarterback room in Cleveland.
But it’s further added to fears that Shedeur Sanders might not make the 53-man roster.
Only Joe Flacco, 40, has not been injured recently out of the Browns quarterbacks.
Kenny Pickett has been out with a hamstring injury while Sanders missed Saturday drills because of arm soreness.
Sanders returned Monday but Dillon Gabriel was limited with a hamstring problem.
Huntley now has a chance to earn a spot on the active roster in Cleveland.
The team is likely to have three quarterbacks for 2025.
Flacco was considered the front-runner while Pickett was recently acquired in a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles.
That left this year’s NFL Draft picks Gabriel and Sanders apparently in a direct battle for a roster spot.
And that has been complicated by the addition of Huntley, who is a proven NFL starter over the last five years.

Last month, Sanders sent a cryptic message on X amid concerns he could be cut.
“time will tell,” Sanders wrote on X, along with a shushing face emoji.
Fans reacted to the former Colorado Buffaloes star’s message and seemed to be inspired in the process.
“Practice hard. I’m counting on you,” one wrote.
“Keep grinding, keep growing and, keep going. Prove yourself right and, your doubters wrong,” another commented.
