“Cancel Netflix for the health of your children”. Elon Musk is no longer among the customers of the American platform. A few hours ago, on his social network X, the American businessman has split several vindictive posts with regard to the red N. To the origins of this call for boycott: the series Dead End : Paranormal Park.

A sequence that does not please Elon Musk

It is after the publication of a video by the account @libsoftiktok, followed by nearly 4.5 million subscribers, that Elon Musk launched His first call to boycott of the subscription streaming platform. The sequence is taken from the series Dead End: the paranormal park.

Created by Hamish Steele, she follows two teenagers and a dog who unite their strengths to defeat demons that haunt an amusement park. If they get there, they will be able to save the world from a possible supernatural cataclysm. She came out in 2022 in almost total indifference and was even canceled after a season.

A priori, animated creation was not intended to be at the epicenter of a boycott campaign. It is the evocation of the transidentity of a character which is problematic to Elon Musk and the many accounts that have set out to publication of Libs of Tiktok.

The scene shows a character, Barney, explaining that he appreciates the world in which he is, because his transidentity is known to no one. “I’m trans, norma. Being here is like being in another world. I have never been so happy”. He adds that it is important for him to finally be able to “Living your life without apologizing”.

We can read on the original publication:

“Dead End: the paranormal park, a series on Netflix, promotes transidentity in children. This series is accessible for 7 -year -old children. Parents, be careful”.

The case has grown more for the past few hours with many accounts sharing extracts from other Netflix series and films which in turn tackle homosexuality or transidentity. The series Jurassic World: the colo du Cretaceous is for example cited.

A link with the death of Charlie Kirk

In addition to these extracts, other publications mention comments from the creator of the Hamish Steele series concerning the death of the conservative right Charlie Kirk. What is presented as a Bluesky screenshot, without possible verification, says that Hamish Steele would have qualified the far -right activist as “Nazi”.

Steele defends herself from having made such comments. “My Instagram comments are now flooded with answers saying I am Charlie Kirk and who argue that I celebrated his death (which I have not done)”.

The account of the creator of Dead End is now private. For its part, Netflix did not react to this case. If the images of termination multiply on X, it is not known how many users have canceled their subscription to the scale of the United States or the world. According to Forbes However, the action of the Netflix group fell from 2.2% this Wednesday afternoon.
