ByteDance announced on Friday a new transitional subsidy policy aimed at supporting full-time employees in mainland China who were involuntarily laid off due to organizational adjustments. The policy provides an additional subsidy on top of the existing severance package, offering up to six months of support, with a maximum of RMB 12,000 ($1,645) per month, totaling up to RMB 72,000 ($9,845).
