ByteDance has released Doubao-Seed-2.0, the latest version of its Doubao large language model series. The company said the Pro variant is benchmarked against GPT 5.2 and Gemini 3 Pro and is designed for long-chain reasoning and agent-based tasks.
ByteDance said Doubao 2.0 Pro achieved leading results across multiple multimodal, math, and coding benchmarks. The company added that the model delivers performance comparable to leading industry models, while token pricing is about one order of magnitude lower. The model is now available on the Doubao app and through Volcano Engine API services. [TechNode reporting]
