The next Google Pixel phone will be on the shelves around a month from now, according to a report from a noted tech insider.

According to Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de – who has a very reliable track record of leaking devices early – the Google Pixel 10a will arrive “around mid Feb” in four colours. Those are Obsidian, Berry, Fog and Lavender.

Three of those are familiar. Berry is the interesting one. That suggests we’ll get a red-coloured Pixel phone akin to the 3rd-Generation Nest Cam. Google is yet to launch a red Pixel phone. Furthermore, an official-looking render of the Pixel 10a has appeared online via Android Headlines, which suggests the release might be imminent too.

The render itself isn’t that exciting – because when was the last time you saw a mid-range, black smartphone that increased your BPM? – but the potential launch is. The Pixel 9a was announced in mid-March 2025 and went on sale on April 10 in the UK and US. A mid-Feb reveal would, obviously, be significantly earlier.

Perhaps that’s not surprising either. Earlier reports have suggested the design and processor (the Google Tensor G4 will remain the same. The Berry colour and the early arrival may be as exciting as it gets for this one. Looking for good deals on the Pixel 9a is our top of the day.

Back in April 2025, our reviewer called it the “perfect entry-level phone”, thanks to the sleek and premium design, bright screen, excellent camera and 30-hour battery life. The affordable access to the best of Google Gemini AI and 7 years of updates from Google, makes it a great long-term purchase.

Our reviewer wrote: “Complete with a sleek redesign, upgraded main camera and Gemini built in – the Google Pixel 9a proves you don’t need to spend big bucks to get a premium phone experience.”
