SAP has announced that Carlos Lacerda will be its new business manager in Spain. Lacerda will thus expand his current functions to take charge of SAP Spain, a position that he will combine with his position until now in the company: Senior Vice President and General Director for Southern Europe. This region covers Greece, Israel, Portugal, Türkiye, Cyprus, Malta and Spain. José Vallés, who until now was the General Director of SAP Spain, will embark on a new professional stage.
His new position will lead Lacerda to be in charge of SAP’s growth strategies, in addition to being responsible for accelerating the digital transformation of clients and strengthening the partner ecosystem in Spain. The new head of the company in our country has a professional career spanning more than a quarter of a century in professional leadership in different regions, and in sectors such as aeronautics, pharmaceuticals and technology.
Lacerda has played a key role in driving cloud ERP strategy and adoption at SAP EMEA South. Before joining the company, he held various high-level management positions at Microsoft EMEA and Asia, in addition to serving as CEO of Portuguese Airports (ANA), as well as the pharmaceutical company Farminveste.
From his new position, Lacerda will be in charge of reporting directly to the President of SAP for EMEA, Augusta Spinelliwho highlighted the company’s new head for Spain that «has a solid track record in southern Europe and deep knowledge of the Spanish market, which will be essential as we continue to advance our growth strategy«.
