OFFICIALS had to issue a shocking recall after a packaging mishap at the High Noon factory.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall on Wednesday.

High Noon, a popular vodka seltzer, was put inside of Celsius cans, according to the FDACredit: FDA

The recall came after High Noon, an alcoholic beverage, realized that a packaging supplier – whom it shares with energy drink Celsius – accidentally shipped the energy drink cans instead of its own.

The agency did not specify the number of recalled cans.

The recall says that it affected exclusively High Noon Beach Variety 12-packs of vodka seltzers.

High Noon’s parent company, GALLO, told The U.S. Sun that it affected two production lots and referred to the batch as “small.”

They were unable to provide an exact number.

The alcohol packs were sent to distributors in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Those distributors then shipped to retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The FDA warned consumers that even if they did not purchase the High Noon variety pack, they should still check their Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink in flavor Sparkling Blue Razz for specific lot codes prior to drinking.

One way consumers can tell if their Celsius cans are affected is that the drinks will have silver lids instead of their signature black tops.

Drinking the swapped out drinks will result in “unintentional alcohol ingestion,” the FDA wrote.

The product was shipped last week between July 21 and July 23.

The UPC codes of the recalled drinks are High Noon cans with the numbers 085000040065, and Celsius cans with the number 8 89392 001341.

The energy drink company made it clear in a press release that they were “not involved in the production, filling, or distribution of the affected products.”

“This recall does not involve any CELSIUS products, only aluminum cans bearing our artwork.“

The lot information on the High Noon recall are listed below:

High Noon Beach Variety Packs (12-pack)

  • UPC: 085000040065
  • Lot Codes: L CCC 17JL25 14:00 to L CCC 17JL25 23:59 and L CCC 18JL25 00:00 to L CCC 18JL25 03:00

Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparking Blue Razz Edition (will have a silver lid instead of a black lid)

  • UPC: 8 89392 00134 1
  • Lot Codes: L CCB 02JL25 2:55 to L CCB 02JL25 3:11

A GALLO spokesperson told The U.S. Sun: “High Noon is voluntarily recalling a limited number of High Noon Beach Variety Packs due to a labeling error from our can supplier.

“We are working with the FDA, retailers and distributors to proactively manage the recall to ensure the safety and well-being of our consumers.”

No illnesses have been reported as of now, according to the FDA.

If customers have purchased the affected lots, they should not drink the liquid inside the can, the recall says.

They are then advised to reach out to High Noon at [email protected] for more information, including refunds.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, alongside the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, are both aware of the recall.
