You can now transform your iPhone into an interactive desktop companion that physically tracks your movement, rather than just charging it.

Unveiled at CES 2026, the DeskMate is a motorized desktop dock equipped with 3 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port. When attached via MagSafe, it uses your phone’s screen and camera to display Pixar-style animated eyes that follow your gaze. Unlike passive stands, it proactively initiates conversations and integrates with tools like Slack to automatically join and summarize video meetings.

Crowdfunding begins this March on Kickstarter, with pricing expected to be under $300. [TechNode reporting]
