CHARLES Barkley has urged the NBA to lift the ban on Tyrese Haliburton’s dad.

Haliburton’s father, John, couldn’t see his son’s miraculous buzzer-beater to send Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals to overtime due to a prior incident.

Haliburton helped the Indiana Pacers claim the comeback overtime win against the Knicks on Wednesday night.

However, the elder Haliburton hasn’t been able to attend the star’s games due to an on-court confrontation with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

With the series set to take place in Indianapolis after Game 2 on Friday night, Barkley sent a message to NBA commissioner Adam Silver, saying to get rid of John’s punishment.

“It’s time to let Mr. Haliburton back in the building,” Barkley said on Thursday’s Inside the NBA after the Pacers’ Game 1 win.

“Adam, I’m asking you.

“Hey, my man paid his dues. He did something stupid, but he’s been punished.

“And I’m asking you and the Indiana Pacers to let Mr. Haliubrton back in the building for Games 3 and 4.

“… So, Adam, you know how much I love you.

“And my man [Pacers president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard, y’all let Mr. Haliubrotn back in the building for Game 3.”

Barkley clarified that he wouldn’t allow Haliubrton to attend games in a likely hostile environment at Madison Square Garden.

“He come up to New York doing that crazy stuff, he won’t make it back to Indy,” he added.

The “crazy stuff” Barkley referenced was the senior Haliburton’s argument with Antetokounmpo following the Pacers’ series-clinching victory over the Greece native’s Bucks in the first round of the playoffs.

The sequence also caused a scuffle on the court.

After the game, the younger Haliburton said he wasn’t aware that his father and the NBA champion were face-to-face and had to be separated, and that he didn’t condone his behavior.

Haliburton’s father made an apology to Antetokounmpo, the Pacers, and the Bucks after the game.

But the league took action against John and banned him from the remainder of the Pacers’ playoff run.

Nonetheless, the youngster Haliburton will have to deal with his father not being in attendance at his third-round games and possibly the fourth and final round, if Indiana makes it there.

Haliburton finished with 31 points in Game 1.

The Pacers won after being down by 17 points at one point in the fourth quarter.

They’ll hope to lead the series 2-0 as they will take on the Knicks for Game 2 on Friday night.
