Xiaomi has started teasing its ultimate flagship tablet and has revealed some key specifications that suggest it could give serious competition to other high-end tablets out there. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is set to launch on May 22, and with these teasers, it’s shaping up to be an absolute beast.

The Pad 7 Ultra will rock a massive 14-inch OLED display with ultra-thin 3.95mm bezels. Despite that size, the tablet weighs just 609g and is only 5.1mm thick. This is crazy slim for something that is this powerful. Even more impressive, it packs a gigantic 12,000mAh battery, making it perfect for binge-watching, gaming, or all-day work sessions. Xiaomi has also added support for 120W wired fast charging, so even that monster battery won’t keep you waiting long.

Under the hood, the Pad 7 Ultra packs a major surprise as it’s confirmed to run on Xiaomi’s in-house XRing O1 chipset, as revealed by a fresh Geekbench listing and official teasers. It’s a bold and exciting move that signals Xiaomi’s push toward self-developed silicon in future devices. While early benchmark scores suggest it might not quite match the performance of Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered tablets, it still gives tough competition to last-gen flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, which came with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+.

To take the tablet experience up a notch, the Pad 7 Ultra also supports accessories like keyboards. We can expect a better typing experience with the new keyboard, and the stylus will be a big productivity booster for designers and creators who work on the go. As of now, only two color options have been teased: Black and Light Blue.
