On Wednesday, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong met with Apple CEO Tim Cook in Beijing, where they exchanged views on Apple’s development in China, network data security management, and cloud services, according to a post by the government body on the Chinese social platform WeChat. Jin stated that he hoped Apple would continue to deepen its presence in the Chinese market, increase its investment in innovation, and grow alongside Chinese companies to share in the benefits of high-quality development. Apple is willing to seize the opportunities presented by China’s opening up and will continue to increase its investment in the country to support the high-quality development of industrial and supply chains, Cook said.
