Chinese robotics startup Noetix Robotics has announced Bumi, the world’s first high-performance humanoid robot priced under ¥10,000 ($1,370). The 94 cm humanoid robot weighing 12 kg can walk on two legs and perform complex movements like dancing, marking the company’s entry into the consumer robotics market.
Designed for education and home use, Bumi features lightweight composite materials, a self-developed motion control system, and an open programming interface for learning and creativity. Noetix said preorders will open between the Double 11 and Double 12 shopping festivals, calling the launch a milestone in bringing humanoid robots from labs to everyday life. [TechNode reporting]
