The provider of data protection and resilience solutions for the hybrid cloud Commvault has confirmed the acquisition of Clumioa company dedicated to developing information protection solutions for critical data in the AWS cloud.
The acquisition, which is expected to close in early October, allows Commvault to leverage Clumio’s AWS services offering to provide cyber resilience to next-generation applications built on AWS. It is not known how much the company paid to complete the acquisition of Clumio, which counts Atlassian, Duolingo and LexisNexis among its customers. What is known is that the entire purchase Price for the company was paid in cash.
Clumio has developed several technologies that bring versatility and capability to organizations using Amazon S3 for storage, and even for AI-driven development in the cloud. These include a service that enables customers to have near-instant access to their Amazon S3 data during a time-critical recovery operation.
