Biles, 28, called Gaines, 25, “truly sick” for her comments about a Minnesota high school softball game.
Former swimmer Gaines is an activist campaigning against trans women competing in female sports.
Olympic gymnast Biles told her to uplift the trans community and make sports inclusive.
Ex-Nascar star Patrick also had an opinion on the debate.
And she sided with Gaines while calling out “woke mind virus.”
“This issue has a shelf life,” Patrick said.
“I truly believe common sense will prevail.
“But until then, I am grateful for people like Riley Gaines who are making sure no one gets away with it.
“Not to mention the fact that she actually lived it.
“Defending men in women’s sports is the woke mind virus and/or another issue that requires therapy.
“Either way, it is so irrational.”
The debate between Biles and Gaines began after the latter’s post on X.
Gaines claims that comments were turned off on a social media post celebrating Chaplin Park girl’s team winning the State Championship.
“Comments off lol,” Gaines wrote.
“To be expected when your star player is a boy.”
The remark was apparently in reference to the team’s transgender pitcher.
Biles called Gaines “truly sick” and accused her of being a “sore loser”.
The gymnast said Gaines’ campaigning was because of the result of one of her swim races in 2022 which featured a transgender woman.
Seven-time gold medalist Biles added, “You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports.
“Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!
“But instead… You bully them… One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around.”
