Home security cameras are a great way to protect your property during the day. At night, the situation becomes more difficult. Along with traditional night vision or a spotlight, some cameras can help you cut through the darkness. The latest model from Eufy, the EufyCam S3 Pro, uses AI technology to help bring day-like image clarity.
Don’t Worry About Power or Paying a Subscription
The headlining feature of the 4K camera is its MaxColor Vision technology. It features an AI-powered processor to bring true colors and clear footage even in the most dark areas. There is also an adaptive spotlight that can be triggered by motion to help bring an even clearer picture.
If the feature works anywhere near as well as what Eufy has showcased, it looks to be a game changer for home security.
There’s a lot more to love about the camera system past the night vision feature.
Instead of having to worry about keeping the camera charged, the built-in solar panel can help keep it fully juiced up with just a single hour of sunlight per day. Even without sun, the battery can provide up to 365 days of use.
A dual-motion detection system uses both radar and passive infrared to reduce false alert by up to 99 percent.
Thanks to the HomeBase S380, you won’t have to worry about paying any additional monthly subscription like many other camera systems. The base station unlocks package, vehicle, and pet detection for custom notifications. Instead of storing video on the cloud, recorded clips are stored in the station’s built-in 16GB of storage. That can be optionally expanded up to 128GB.
You can purchase the EufyCam S3 Pro starting today. A bundle with two cameras and a single HomeBase 380 data hub is $549.99 available through Eufy or Amazon. There are more expensive bundles with additional cameras.
Also Compatible With Apple Home
I’ve reviewed a number of recent Eufy cameras, including the SoloCam S340 and the IndoorCam S350, and have enjoyed the video quality and more. The one big drawback to those cameras was the lack of Apple Home support, limiting them to only Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
But the S3 Pro doesn’t have that limitation with support for all three major smart home platforms.
While the S3 Pro might be more expensive than other systems, the night vision looks to make it more than worth it. Other features like solar power and subscription-free access to recorded videos make it an even better value.
