Dell has decided to expand its families of computers for the educational sector, Pro Education and Chromebook, with three new models designed especially for students of different levels, as well as for educational personnel of different levels. They are the teams Dell Pro Education 11 y 14, y Dell Chromebook 14. All three will be available starting February 24.
In all cases, the equipment has been designed to withstand the activity and movement of students, and has a robust chassis, which meets military standards (MILSTD 810H), whose corners are also reinforced. In addition, their keyboards are spill-resistant and their hinges can be folded up to 180 degrees.
They have an Intel N-Series processor and a battery that provides them with autonomy to endure a school day. They incorporate 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space, and are compatible with WiFi 6E, in addition to offering a camera with dual microphone.
The Dell Pro Education 11, with its 11.6-inch display, is designed for easy repairs, with shared parts between models and user-replaceable batteries. This aims to lower costs, reduce electronic waste as much as possible and prolong the useful life of the device.
It is available in two formats: laptop (conventional laptop) and “2 in 1”, which can be used as both a laptop and a tablet. In both cases it is a compact and light device, with an optional touch screen. Both have an intelligent cooling system, and in the case of the “2 in 1” model, it can be purchased with an optional front camera. It has a Windows operating system, like the Pro Education 14, with a 14-inch FHD+ screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This model offers a larger screen so that high school students can get more out of it and find it more comfortable.
As for the Dell Chromebook 14, it also has a 14-inch FHD+ screenand in this case, with Chrome OS operating system. It integrates 8 GB of RAM, is compatible with WiFi6 and offers several reinforced USB ports.
