The popular console game emulator Delta has just gotten another huge update. With its latest version, users can now play online multiplayer Nintendo DS games.
You can now play online multiplayer Nintendo DS games with Delta
As announced in a post on Bluesky, version 1.7 of the Delta emulator for iOS introduces Online Multiplayer for Nintendo DS games. Of course, the service relies on alternative Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) servers hosted by the community since Nintendo shut down the official DS servers for online multiplayer in 2014.
With the latest version of Delta installed, all you have to do is choose your preferred server in the emulator settings. There’s no need to change DNS or other complex settings.
Nintendo DS games with online multiplayer support include Mario Kart DS, Pokémon and Animal Crossing. You can find a list of all supported games here.
In addition to online multiplayer support, Delta 1.7 also improves the emulation of Nintendo 64 games, lets users upscale the resolution and even use their own texture packs. Plus, it now has an option to quickly take a screenshot of the game and comes with many bug fixes.
Delta 1.7 is now available on the AltStore PAL for users in the EU and will soon be available worldwide on the App Store. You can download it for free.
