Update: The FCC has also published documents related to an unreleased Apple Vision Pro device. Find the new details below.

If you’re in the market for a new MacBook Pro or iPad Pro: the FCC may have just given us the strongest sign yet that a refresh is just weeks away. Here are the details.

7 new model numbers, following an apparent iPad Pro (M5) leak

As you probably know, Apple must undergo multiple regulatory steps before launching a product. Some of them involve the FCC, which is required to share some of that information publicly.

Today, as spotted by MacRumors, the FCC published a few documents that refer to multiple Apple device models that haven’t yet been announced, one of which could be the M5 iPad Pro that apparently appeared in a leaked video earlier today.

The model numbers are A3357, A3358, A3359, A3360, A3361, A3362, and A3434.

While we can’t say for sure which products these numbers represent, A3357–A3362 almost certainly map to new iPad Pro variants (11- and 13-inch, Wi-Fi and Cellular), while A3434 points to a new MacBook Pro.

For reference, the current iPad Pro models are identified by the numbers A2836, A2837, A2925, A2926, A3006, and A3007, while the current MacBook Pro models are listed as A3112, A3185, A3186, A3401, and A3403.

9to5Mac’s Take

Since regulatory steps like this usually happen towards the end of the pre-launch process, it is very likely that Apple may be gearing up for an upcoming wave of announcements, as many had already been expecting.

Just this weekend, Bloomberg reported that Apple is “nearing” mass production for the M5 MacBook Pro.

Put that together with today’s iPad Pro leak, and it becomes relatively safe to assume that talks of an October (or possibly November) hardware event will only gain even more steam in the coming days.

Update, September 30, 6:57 pm ET: The FCC has also published documents related to a product listed under model number A3416, and described as a “Head Mounted Device”. As also spotted by MacRumors, the documents show connectivity and other frequency transmission reports, including SAR and WLAN, as well as an illustration of the front of the device, which has the same design as the current Apple Vision Pro.

Do you have a guess as to when Apple will announce these products? Let us know in the comments.
