Chinese drone maker DJI has acquired a plot of land in Shenzhen for RMB 2.287 billion ($315 million), where it plans to establish its global headquarters for the smart aviation systems industry. Announced on Wednesday by the Shenzhen Public Resources Exchange Center, the land parcel T207-0066 is located at the southeast corner of Shenwan Second Road and Baishi First Street in Shahe Subdistrict, Nanshan District. The commercial-use site spans 15,658 square meters with a planned building area of 188,000 square meters and a 30-year lease term. Under the regulations, construction must begin within 2.5 years and be completed within six years from the date the land transfer contract is signed. [Jiemian, in Chinese]
