The CMF de Nothing brand is retrying the experience of connected watches with the CMF Watch Pro 2. This new model is very different from the CMF Watch Pro and chooses a more original design, as well as personalization. Sufficient modifications to better convince? We verified by testing the CMF Watch Pro 2.

We love
Son design original
Nothing places a lot of importance on the design of its watch and this is evident from the moment you unbox it. The CMF Watch Pro 2 offers a minimalist design with interchangeable bezels and a rotating digital crown. The approach changes radically compared to the first version and the change is quite appreciable.
The customization options offered by the removable bezel are reminiscent of Xiaomi’s system with the Watch S3. The CMF Watch Pro 2 comes in four variants, including two with leather strap and domed bezel (orange or blue) or two with leather strap and domed bezel (light gray or dark gray). The size of the bezel varies slightly depending on the version, going from 1.36 cm thick for the watch with the silicone strap to 1.39 cm for the version with leather.
As we can see in our images, we were treated to the dark gray model. The rest of the watch is quite classic and relies on a horn system to attach the bracelet (22 mm). The CMF Watch Pro 2 is comfortable to wear and has a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen displaying 466 x 466 pixels. The screen is a decent size and is quite pleasant, but it can lack brightness when used in direct sunlight.
This allows you to navigate within the interface – in addition to the touch screen – and acts as a rotating bezel. Its integration is successful and contributes to giving a certain charm to this original and customizable watch.
Son interface
Let it be said, the CMF Watch Pro 2 is not the most complete connected watch on the market (see below). This is partly explained by the choice to rely on a proprietary operating system rather than Wear OS. On the other hand, this decision helps to provide an efficient and pleasant interface to use.
The experience is simplified and navigation is done using gestures. From the home screen, you can 👍
As mentioned previously, the button also allows you to navigate the watch interface. At least in part, because it is not very useful from the home screen and mainly allows you to navigate once in the menus. We would have appreciated even more in-depth integration to take maximum advantage of the presence of this button.
Note in passing that its operating system allows support for Android and iOS.
His health monitoring
Despite a very low price, the CMF Watch Pro 2 offers different sensors to count the number of steps, measure heart rate or even blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). There is also the possibility of monitoring stress or monitoring sleep with this watch, as well as activity monitoring.
Not everything is perfect, but the watch can boast of offering relatively accurate heart rate monitoring. Although basic, the main data related to health monitoring is there and seems realistic compared to other watches.
Its autonomy (even if…)
Nothing claims up to 11 days for standard use and 9 days for intensive use. An interesting promise that we were not completely able to achieve with our testing conditions. In order to discover all the features, we tend to activate all the possible options including the always-on display during the day. Under these conditions, we have never been able to exceed 4 days of autonomy and this comes largely from the AOD (Always-On Display) world. As is often the case, this one is not kind to autonomy and deactivating it will help to get closer to Nothing’s figures.
We managed to exceed 7 days in intensive use and 10 days in normal use. In any case, the battery life is far from bad and you will rarely need to recharge the watch more than once a week. A good point, even if we would have hoped for even better from a watch with a proprietary OS and without advanced functions. The search is carried out using a USB-A cable and it takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes to refuel (0 to 100%). We pass the 50% mark in around 30 minutes.
Its robustness
Even though it costs less than 70 euros, the CMF Watch Pro 2 is durable and capable of withstanding difficult conditions. It has IP68 certification, which means that it is dust resistant (for 8 hours, says Nothing) and water resistant for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 m. It will not be possible to dive with this watch, but the manufacturer assures that it is capable of withstanding falls from a height of 1 m. Its screen is intended to be scratch-resistant and even if we did not put it in difficulty, we did not have any problems during the entire test period… despite a few clashes and shocks.
We like less
Its GPS is very behind
Nothing mentions compatibility with GPS, Galileo, Glonass, QZSS and BeiDou constellations. The watch has its own geolocation tracking chip, but you have to be content with a single frequency band.
A limitation which does not allow the CMF Watch Pro 2 to be truly surprised. On the wrist, it struggles to geolocate the wearer and you have to wait several minutes before taking advantage of geolocation tracking. You should not expect particularly reliable monitoring and the experience is not at the level of specialized watches. But you have to keep in mind that this watch is not sold at the same price.
Its lack of applications
Considering its price, we can appreciate to see that the Watch Pro 2 goes to the essentials. Offered with a proprietary operating system called RTOS, the watch does not allow the installation of third-party applications. So, we can quickly feel limited when we try to move away from basic functions.
Fortunately, the classics are present and the OS offers telephone functions, flashlight, timer, weather, reminders or even controlling music or triggering the camera.
Its limited functionality
This third is partly linked to the two that we mentioned previously. The CMF Watch Pro 2 opts for a basic approach and its features will not be sufficient for intensive use, especially for athletes. Nothing announces the ability for its watch to measure up to 120 different sports, but the watch offers very few options. There are also no advanced measurements like ECG or body temperature monitoring.
