The game features fast-paced, refined combat with mechanics such as parrying, synchronized attacks, and reworked controls for both consoles and PC.

R-Type Delta: HD Boosted is a remastered version of the 1998 PlayStation classic, updated for modern consoles and PCs. This iconic side-scrolling shoot ’em up now features high-resolution textures, 60fps gameplay, a newly arranged soundtrack, and a practice mode. Players can switch between the new HD graphics and the classic PS1 visuals on the fly, and the game now has multiple difficulty modes to ease you into the challenge.
