Between hikes at Peacock, Netflix and Apple TV Plus, streaming services haven’t held back on increasing prices in 2025. It’s as good a time as any for a deal, and Paramount Plus is offering one for new and returning subscribers.
Now through Sept. 18, you can get half off Paramount Plus’ annual plans, which require you to pay up-front for the 12 months. You can choose between $30 for a year of Paramount Plus Essential, which is ad-based, and $60 for Paramount Plus Premium, which has no commercials outside of live TV.
Paramount Plus last hiked prices in summer 2024, bringing the typical cost of Essential to $8 per month, or $60 per year, and Premium (then called Paramount Plus with Showtime) to $13 per month, or $120 per year. If you sign up for the current annual plan deal, you’d need to remember to cancel if you don’t want your subscription to renew at full price.
In addition to excluding ads, Paramount Plus’ Premium plan differs from Essential by providing access to downloads, all Showtime programming (there’s only some on Essential) and your local, live CBS station. (With Essential, you can watch the NFL on CBS and the UEFA Champions League via separate live feeds.) This fall, subscribers to Paramount Plus can watch season 27 of South Park, season 2 of Taylor Sheridan’s Landman and season 3 of Tracker, among other series.
