The U.S. Sun exclusively spoke to Green about his broadcasting career

Green has enjoyed a stellar 13-year professional basketball career, winning four championships and earning five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections.

But Green has shown his versatility as he’s been a TV contributor to Turner Sports and has made in-season appearances on the hit program Inside the NBA for three years.

The 35-year-old has never been afraid to turn heads with his basketball opinions as a player, and he’s continued to do so as a television personality.

Green has impressed on TNT, and he can thank those very close to him while he’s on the job.

The U.S. Sun caught up with Green at Fanatics Fest NYC 2025 late last month, and he was asked whether he’s gotten advice from the likes of colleagues such as Shaq or Charles Barkley.

“I try to get pointers from everyone,” he said.

“Anything I do, I try to get better.”

At the age of 35, Green won’t be playing in the NBA for too long.

Green was asked whether he’ll transition to be a full-time NBA analyst once he retires.

“I hope one day to be good at it,” he said.

Draymond Green makes feelings clear on Inside the NBA move to ESPN after TNT Sports exit

Green doesn’t just work on TV as he also has his own self-titled podcast, which is featured on The Volume, a sports network created by FS1’s Colin Cowherd.

If Green returns to Inside the NBA, the show will be broadcast on ESPN for the upcoming season.

ESPN will air the program for the next 10 years after it was previously on TNT Sports since 1989.

Green seems confident about the future of the 23-time Sports Emmy-winning show, which will keep its star talent that consists of O’Neal, Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson.

“The cast of characters are still the same. … [They’re] still the best in the world,” Green said.

He also made sure to mention that TNT will still produce the show, an aspect that many were hesitant about ESPN potentially being tasked with.

ESPN won’t have any editorial control over Inside the NBA.

Green’s optimism about the program comes after Barkley, O’Neal, and Smith have shared their uneasiness over the move to ESPN.
