Infoblox Universal DDI Product Suite supports teams in managing DNS, DHCP and IPAM. This gives Infoblox customers centralized control, even if they use different DNS providers. Additionally, the Universal Asset Insights suite component provides contextual insight into all network assets. The solution can be rolled out via a fully SaaS-based implementation model.
Multiple cloud service providers
91% of organizations worldwide say they use two or more cloud service providers to innovate faster, streamline operations and modernize workloads. This increases the complexity of critical network services, which increases the chance of human error. Managing multiple isolated DNS environments increases operational costs, reduces flexibility and increases security risks. In addition, fragmented IP address management across multiple public clouds and on-premises infrastructure regularly leads to IP conflicts. This leads to the risk of network and application failure.
“Network architectures for hybrid multi-cloud environments must be managed differently to ensure trust and speed in network operations,” said Scott Harrell, President and CEO at Infoblox. “At Infoblox, we are therefore restructuring the management, deployment and security of critical network services for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Our mission is to provide NetOps, SecOps and CloudOps teams with robust tools that strengthen collaboration. With this new Suite, we are focusing on streamlined automation, accelerated application implementation and drastically simplified operations.”
“The new Universal DDI Product Suite is groundbreaking. We’ve carefully designed a new portal to help break down the operational silos between NetOps, CloudOps, and SecOps teams. In doing so, we help them make critical business decisions faster,” said Mukesh Gupta, Chief Product Officer at Infoblox.
Three pillars
The Infoblox Universal DDI Product Suite includes three new solutions: Universal DDI Management, Universal Asset Insights and NIOS-X as-a-Service. Infoblox Universal DDI Management enables integrated management of critical network services. Universal DDI Management enables users to streamline the automation of their multi-cloud DDI environments. Policy-driven network and IP address allocation across the entire hybrid, multi-cloud domain improves efficiency and reliability, and prevents network outages.
Universal DDI Management’s SaaS capabilities help accelerate releases and reduce maintenance. Users can also manage third-party DNS services such as Amazon Route 53, Azure DNS and Google Cloud DNS.
Infoblox Universal Asset Insights
Infoblox Universal Asset Insights provides an integrated and contextual view of all network assets within a hybrid, multi-cloud environment. By extending DNS and DHCP to IP Address Management (IPAM), Universal Asset Insights makes it possible to map, analyze and strengthen an organization’s entire digital infrastructure. Universal Asset Insights automatically identifies unused IP addresses and zombie workloads. This allows organizations to significantly reduce both their operational costs and security risks.
NIOS-X as a Service runs critical network services as close as possible to users and workloads without additional infrastructure. This reduces deployment and operational costs, provides CloudOps with operational simplicity and gives NetOps and SecOps resilience, consistency, visibility and security. With NIOS-X as a Service, IT teams can modernize on-premises Microsoft DNS through rapid deployment. They can also streamline multi-cloud DNS by consolidating cloud-native services within one integrated solution. In addition, they can optimize local operations thanks to infrastructure-free DNS and DHCP services.
