PassEntry, a startup that issues Apple and Google Wallet digital passes for brands, has secured a £5.2m investment.
The company said it expected the new investment to help scale its customer base by 300%, with plans to expand into five additional international markets, notably in North America and Asia Pacific.
Founded in 2019, the Fulham-based business works with brands like Holland & Barrett and Sofi Stadium to issue digital passes such as event tickets, loyalty cards and memberships.
The company currently lists London, Madrid, Reykjavik, New York, Toronto and Dubai among its locations.
PassEntry said it intends to have a presence in more than 10 markets by the end of the year.
“This investment pushes us further ahead in the pass issuance space,” said Nico Cary, CTO and co-founder of PassEntry.
“It’s not about just issuing passes, it’s about making the process so simple and seamless that businesses don’t even have to think about it. We’re integrating directly with point-of-sale systems to eliminate friction, help businesses acquire customers effortlessly, and redefine engagement.”
The funding round was co-led by Lime investor Acurio Ventures and Glovo backer Bonsai Partners.
“PassEntry is revolutionising the endless possibilities of digital wallets as well as unlocking overlooked revenue streams for business owners, helping them engage seamlessly with loyal customers and fans,” said Acurio Ventures founding partner Ander Michelena.
According to micro company accounts made up to December 2023, the most recent headcount for the firm was four.
