The global payments platform Ecommpay has appointed Roy Blokker as head of strategic sales as the company sets to grow its footprint across Europe.
Blokker will focus on engaging with large, complex, and globally focused merchants to build strategic partnerships and will lead the development of tailored solutions that deliver optimal payment performance.
In his 15 year tenure, including over a decade in payments, Blokker has extensive experience helping large merchants optimise payment acceptance costs and expand into new markets.
This appointment follows Ecommpay’s rebrand and repositioning last September, and marks a pivotal moment in the business’ journey according to chief operating officer Arthur Gots.

Previously, Blokker spent more than eight years at French-founded payments firm Worldline, where he held a variety of strategic global sales and leadership roles.
