EE has quietly raised the price of its TV bundles for new subscribers.

This comes just as some major content changes are about to roll out. Notably, this includes the long-awaited arrival of HBO Max in the UK.

The price adjustments affect all of EE TV’s core bundles, with increases ranging from £2 to £8 per month depending on the tier. The entry-level Entertainment bundle now costs £22 per month, up from £20. Meanwhile, the top-tier Full Works package rises from £80 to £88 per month.

The timing isn’t accidental. From March 26, HBO Max will launch in the UK and will be included through the NOW Entertainment membership. This membership comes with several EE TV bundles. As a result, subscribers will gain access to HBO shows such as Game of Thrones, Succession, The Sopranos, The Wire, and Euphoria as part of their existing package.

Some sports content is shifting platforms too. TNT Sports, which previously streamed through discovery+, will move to HBO Max once the service launches. Therefore, EE TV Sport subscribers will simply need to log into the HBO Max app using their existing discovery+ credentials. This allows them to continue watching.

Outside of content changes, EE TV still works the same way. The service is available to BT Broadband and EE Broadband customers, offering either the EE TV Box Pro with Freeview recording or an Apple TV 4K box with EE’s TV app installed. One key difference from rivals like Sky or Virgin is flexibility – customers can switch between TV bundles every 30 days. However, the overall broadband and TV contract still runs for 24 months.

EE is also offering a couple of limited-time deals for new customers. The Entertainment bundle is currently £2 per month for the first six months. Meanwhile, the Full Works tier drops to £40 per month for the first three months, then returns to the standard price.

Even with the discounts, the higher monthly costs mean EE TV is getting more expensive overall. Nevertheless, the addition of HBO Max could make the packages more appealing for anyone already planning to subscribe to multiple streaming services.
