Chinese urban air mobility company EHang has unveiled the VT35, an autonomous two-seat eVTOL based on the VT30 prototype, with a stated maximum range of about 200 km (124 miles). The compound-wing aircraft is designed for intercity routes across cities, seas, and mountains, and is priced at RMB 6.5 million ($895,000) in China.
EHang said the VT35 has completed transition flight tests, measures around 8 meters in length with a maximum takeoff weight of 950 kilograms, and can reuse existing EH216-S vertiports—such as parks, rooftops, and parking lots—for point-to-point urban transfers. China’s aviation regulator has accepted its type certification application, which is currently under airworthiness review. [TechNode reporting]
