I’ve been reviewing TVs for PCMag for 15 years, and have tested hundreds in that time. The most recent one to come through the PC Labs, the LG Evo C5, is one of my favorite new OLED TVs, and it’s on sale for a steep discount during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days. The 65-inch Evo C5 can be found for $1,496.99, well below its $2,699.99 official retail price and the $1,699.99 it usually goes for. Prime Big Deal Days is winding down, though, so if you want to save a few hundred on a great OLED TV, tonight’s likely your last chance.

The Editors’ Choice-winning Evo C5 is LG’s current midrange OLED TV, costing a little more than half as much as its high-end Evo G5 (another Editors’ Choice pick, currently marked down from a $3,399.99 list price). Even though it’s so much less expensive, it still has a fantastic picture with all of the benefits an OLED panel can offer. Its colors are wide and accurate, its contrast is excellent, and it can produce perfect blacks and no light bloom thanks to the panel technology’s ability to individually adjust the brightness of every pixel. It also has hands-free Alexa, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and it’s incredibly sleek. It only falls behind the Evo G5 in on major way: It isn’t as bright as its record-breaking sibling, though it’s still bright enough to do HDR content justice.
If $1,500 is still a bit much for you, two other great TVs are available for under $1,000 for 65 inches (and most other screen sizes similarly discounted). The Amazon Fire TV Omni Mini-LED is just $899.99 down from $1,089.99, and the Roku Pro Series is $799.99 down from $1,199.99. These price drops put them solidly in the budget TV range, but their performance is anything but.

The Amazon Fire TV Omni Mini-LED and the Roku Pro Series are both mini-LED TVs, which means they’re much brighter than the Evo C5 but can show some light bloom (haze between very dark and very bright parts of the screen). Their colors are also vibrant and accurate, but not as wide as the Evo C5’s OLED panel. They still look great, though, and are packed full of features. The Fire TV supports hands-free Amazon Alexa (with the more advanced Alexa+ AI assistant coming), and the Roku TV having simpler hands-free voice control and content search, plus Apple AirPlay.
