The Printing and Scanning Technology Specialist Epson has launched two new flat scanner models thought especially for SMEs. They are the WorkForce DS-1730 y DS-1760WNalready available, and that are designed to adapt to tight budgets.
Among its novelties and improvements with respect to other scanners of the Workforce series, the DS-1630 and DS-1660W are the duplex scanning option, higher scanning speeds and a compact design. They offer a scan resolution of up to 1,200 points per inch from the flat scanner and 600 points per inch from the ADF.
The DS-1760W model incorporates WiFi connectivity and connection capabilities to LAN networks, allowing several users to access the scanner from their work stations. In addition, it integrates an LCD touch panel to handle all its functions from the scanner and without having to use a computer. Both models have a design focused on reducing energy consumption, which makes them spend less than the two previous models of the series.
This is in line with Epson’s commitment to improve environmental sustainability. In fact, one of its main objectives is to have a negative carbon footprint, in addition to being free of underground resources that can be exhausted, such as oil and metal, before 2050.
